A30 Closed Yeovil Drivers Should Take M5

Yeovil Drivers Heading To Devon Should Take M5

The A30 has been shut down in both directions at the Devon border due to concerns for an individual's well-being. Emergency responders are currently present at the scene in East Devon, and the road closure spans from Fairmile to Honiton.
Significant traffic congestion is developing in the vicinity, prompting National Highways to redirect traffic through local roads. Devon and Cornwall Police, along with the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service and the South Western Ambulance Service, are all actively engaged at the site.
According to traffic monitor Inrix, the A30 is inaccessible in both directions, with delays attributed to a police incident occurring between the Fenny Bridges turnoff (Fairmile) and the Honiton turning (Honiton).
All drivers from Yeovil should avoid the route and are advised to use the M5.

UPDATE:

Drivers are now reporting to Yeovil Real News that the road has now been reopened with traffic flowing freely.
