In a hearing last month, a full closure order was granted after the police’s Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) team, with support from Yeovil’s neighbourhood policing team and local residents, made the application. The court heard that the flat was associated with class A drug dealing and use, leading to drug paraphernalia in shared areas and constant disturbances from frequent visitors.
Reports described loud arguments, swearing, shouting, and occasional assaults within the property, with residents feeling intimidated by the occupants and their guests. Officers were often called to manage these disturbances, which created ongoing disruption for those living and working nearby.
The closure order, effective from September 25, will remain in force for three months. Entering the property or its grounds during this period is now a criminal offence, with offenders subject to arrest. Police have expressed appreciation for the community’s assistance in documenting incidents and enabling action against the ongoing issues
