Man Killed in Fatal Crash Near Yeovil
A man has tragically died following a collision on the A3088 Cartgate Link Road near Stoke-sub-Hamdon in Somerset on Tuesday night (December 3).
The incident occurred around 9pm and involved a pedestrian and a Hyundai car.
In a statement, an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson confirmed:
"Sadly, the pedestrian died at the scene as a result of his injuries. Our thoughts are with his family at this incredibly difficult time. A specially trained family liaison officer will be offering support to the family throughout the investigation."
The road was closed for several hours as police conducted investigations but has since been reopened.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or were in the area in the moments leading up to the incident. If you saw anything or have any relevant footage, please contact us," the spokesperson added.
