Initially awarded the contract in July 2020, Serco's continued role ensures vital support for the Royal Navy’s operations. Doug Umbers, Managing Director of Serco’s Defence business, expressed his satisfaction with the extension: “Our teams at RNAS Culdrose and Yeovilton make a real impact by providing critical engineering support to help keep the Royal Navy flying 365 days a year, and we are delighted to have had this contract extended by a further 12 months.”
