Yeovil Town Chairman Martin Hellier Threatens Suicide in Disturbing Breakdown

Yeovil, England – Yeovil Town Football Club is facing a turbulent period as its controversial owner, Martin Hellier, had a severe emotional breakdown last night, threatening to take his own life. The alarming incident unfolded during the early hours of the morning, causing significant concern among those who received his distressing messages.

Disturbing Messages and Police Involvement

Hellier reportedly sent a series of group text messages after his girlfriend ended their relationship. In these messages, he referred to her with derogatory terms and threatened violence, citing her as a 'Whore', telling her that he hoped 'She would burn in hell' and stating he would "finish her" before repeatedly expressing intentions to commit suicide. Alarmed recipients of the messages contacted Avon and Somerset Police, who it's not known if they responded.

Club in Crisis

The messages, which have been viewed by Yeovil Real News and surfaced on social media platform X, revealed Hellier's disdain for the football club, with him stating "F@ck Your Club." This has raised significant concerns about the club's future, given Hellier's erratic behavior and the club's ongoing financial struggles.

Fans' Reactions and Substance Abuse Concerns

While fans appear largely unconcerned about Hellier's personal issues, there is growing worry about the stability of the club. Hellier, believed to have been under the influence of alcohol and possibly other substances, has a history of sending abusive messages. This latest episode further compounds the uncertainty surrounding Yeovil Town's future, especially with the lack of potential buyers and reluctance to purchase as Hellier it's reported paid over the odds on the club he purchased before last season.

Potential Impact on Yeovil Town FC

The football club, already battling financial issues, now faces the possibility of being thrown into further disarray. The instability brought on by Hellier's breakdown and public outbursts could deter future investors and exacerbate the club's precarious situation that is backed by Thatchers Cider and Bradfords Building Supplies as main sponsors.

Both sponsors previously backed Hellier, despite him making racial threats to a Ukrainian female refugee, on that occasion he branded her a ' Slavic Whore' whilst threatening to kill her to which he only received a caution from Avon & Somerset Police.

Avon & Somerset Police it's understood are holding an investigation into the crime, as Hellier himself claimed he got away without being charged as he had ' People In high places' at Yeovil Police Station.

As the situation unfolds, the immediate focus remains on ensuring the safety of the football club, which looks in a perilous position.
