Liam Allen, 35, who currently has no fixed abode, appeared at Taunton Crown Court on Thursday, June 27. He received a one-year prison sentence after admitting to 10 counts of theft committed between December 2023 and March 2024.

Additionally, the court issued an order prohibiting Liam Allen from entering several stores in Yeovil, including Tesco Express, Tesco Extra, Boots, WH Smith, Superdrug, and Co-Op. He is also banned from entering any stores from which he has received a written exclusion.

The order further mandates that in any other stores not specified in the order, Allen must place all items in a basket or trolley until they are paid for.

If found guilty of breaching this order, Allen could face a maximum sentence of up to five years’ imprisonment.
