YEOVIL TOWN FC MANAGER CALLS YEOVIL FANS TROLLS AS HE LOSES HIS RAG AFTER DISMAL DISPLAY
Many Yeovil Town fans were branded trolls by the club manager Mark Cooper after a dismal display by the side at Farnborough Town.
Whilst the club won 1-2 lifting a meaningless pre -season trophy, Cooper lashed out at supporters who live in fear of being banned by the clubs owner if they post anything without an alias on social media.
Cooper, addressing them as 'trolls', lost his rag after saying he didn't like the match and didn't enjoy it at all, although he looks like a Manager under pressure whilst trying to protect his thin underwhelming squad preparing for a season in the National League Premier.
Whilst Cooper claimed in the aftermatch interview there was no rift with the current club chairman, it came apparent on social media, as emails were leaked that wasn't actually the truth.
The emails demonstrated his bemoans of lack of signings and funds and those who did eventually sign he desired earlier, and his several complaints regarding the chairman, to which it appeared he had been talking to club staff and filtering out to the media without the chairman's knowledge. A situation where it was described their relationship was 100% fractured and a desire to be paid up by the club, whilst feeling the chairman was 'setting him up for a fall'.
Although, Cooper, whilst addressing the numerous social media postings, whilst telling supporters to get behind the team, failed to recall that many of the fans on the socials are actually banned for no reason by the current club owner.. He also played total ignorance to his season's and pre season behaviour, which has included to kill supporters as well as domestic abuse to females.
As fans pointed out - if he had read all the fan's complaints, how had he missed the actions of the current club owner? whilst asking fans what their 'beef was'?
Now it appears Cooper has been upset all summer after a lack of funding which it's understood was promised, only a week previous, in interview he had stated the club wasn't in a position financially to make signings, in yesterday's interview that stance was of a totally different nature as he contradicted himself stating he was looking at a couple of league 1 or 2 players and waiting to see what become available.
Cooper, who has never managed a big club, with little or no experience in the football league itself after getting sacked by Forrest Green Rovers after getting the team promoted to the football league, appears not to be able to handle himself when fans become critical for various reasons. Especially as it's not the first occasion of him calling out supporters, as reported previously by the red top press.
Fans of the club are still digesting the events of the last 24 hours as they were branded as trolls by the club manager and then the owner announcing the sale of the club.
Just 7 hours later from the interview, The club owner, Hellier announced he was selling the club for a £1.
